Both $15 and $12 campers must check in first at the ticket booth, and then the camping gate. You will need a camping wrist band to camp on site. Those with $12 camping tickets can expect to park at the satellite parking and take a shuttle to the event. Gear and persons will be shuttled to the festival every 15-30 minutes. You may either carry your gear to take advantage of golf cart services in getting to your camping spot. Camping staff will facilitate and assist with getting you to your site. Please respect the camping staff in order to accommodate the most people possible. You will not be able to reserve spots for your friends, so please arrive together. All camping is first come, first serve. Please be respectful of both the grounds and other campers. Grandfather Mountain Campground is a running business and we ask that you treat it as you would any other campground and leave it better than you found it.

Q and A's

Q: What times can I check-in for camping with a car-camping pass? 
A: You can check in for camping from 5:00-11:00pm starting on Thursday. Only those with a car-camping pass will be permitted to enter the campgrounds on Thursday at 5-11pm. 

Q: Can I bring my car in? 

A: Only with a $15 camping ticket, all others must use the satellite parking areas.

Q: After I arrive to camp, will I be able to leave the site?
A: Due to safety restrictions, once cars are on site they will remain parked until Sunday morning. There is a general store on site with basic necessities (ice, cold drinks, batteries, etc.) and there is also a gas station across the street. If it is an emergency, you can leave the site.

Q: What will be provided to camping?
A: Permanent restrooms, several showers, potable water, trash, and scenic views.

Q: How do the showers work?
A: 5 minute showers max - please be considerate of others camping. Understand that all your neighbors will also be using the facilities. Leave the showers in better condition than you found them.

Q: I have a $12 camping ticket, where can I park my car?
A: You can park at one of our offsite satellite parking aeras and take the shuttle to the event. Shuttles will also run from ASU's campus.

Q: I have a $15 camping ticket, does everyone in my car need a $15 camping ticket?
A: No! We highly encourage you to carpool and have designed out parking and camping to promote this endeavor. A $15 camping ticket allows you to drive a vehicle on site; everyone else in your car MUST have a camping ticket to come into the site.

Q: Will I have to purchase a camping pass to have temporary access to the campsites? 

A: Yes, you must purchase a camping pass to access the campsite. 

Q: Can I camp if I have a one day pass?
A: No, you must have a weekend pass to camp. Security will require you to purcahse a weekend pass or leave the site if you are found camping without a weekend pass. This also goes for those without camping passes.

Q: At the old venue, we just set up a campsite without a camping pass, what are the chances of doing this again?
A: Not good at all! You will need a camping pass in order to camp. If you are bringing gear into the festival without a camping pass you will be asked to buy one or leave. There will be no refunds for festival tickets if asked to leave the grounds.

Q: Once I have my camping pass, can I camp wherever I want?
A: In order to facilitate as many campers as comfortable as possible camping, staff will direct you to designated areas and sites. Trust us, they're all good!
